Foods and Supplements That Improve Blood Flow

Want a sick pump in the gym? There are 2 main things you need to do. Be hydrated and improve your blood flow. How? Ingest the following:
Watermelons contain Citrulline, which converts in the body to Arginine which is an amino acid that improves blood circulation. It is also one of the most common ingredients in pre-workout formulas because it just works. Eat a cup of watermelons before a workout and feel the muscles explode!
Citrus fruits such as oranges, lemons and limes are high in Vitamin C which is a natural blood thinner, thus improving blood flow. They are also known to strengthen the capillaries and also prevent plaque buildup in the arteries, thus greatly improving heart health.
Beets contain nitrates that can greatly improve nitric oxide production, giving you a boost in stamina, increased blood flow and also lower fatigue. Most pre-workout formulas are just starting to recognize the benefits of nitrates and are starting to add them into their formulas. Beet juice is a great natural pre-workout!
Ginger is not just great for increasing blood circulation but it also helps to improve your digestion and gives you that warm spicy feeling all over your body that helps to keep you energized.
This vitamin most commonly found in oils, seeds and nuts help to open up the blood vessels, thus allowing improved blood flow. I like to supplement with 400mg daily and have noticed a great improvement in the gym (and in bed!).
